Cumin is the oldest spice because it was found in round constructions of the Neolithic period in the 3rd millennium BC. Cumin is good for digestion, against digestive tract spasms and prevents from the formation of gases in the digestive organs.
Cumin is used in soups, herb sauces, cottage cheese spreads, with stewed meat. It is indispensable spice for rye bread, bakery products, spice mixtures, sauces, potatoes cooking, preserving, in the production of liqueurs and the like. Cumin can be used both whole, and ground. It is popularly called ‘raška’.
